Your untrained or previously started horse is welcome at Rose Hill Ranch Paso Finos where we will use Professional Horse Training methods to offer Leadership, Direction, and Discipline, and in return your horse will respond with Respect, Trust, and Companionship. To a horse who has either developed some bad habits or just doesn’t know what is expected of him, we will offer a new way of going in order to have a good relationship with the owner and a rewarding experience for the human. The old ways of training horses are limiting to the horse and human, preventing a true connection with your horse, but my method of training and communicating will open up the horses mind to a different set of possibilities for relating to you. Colt Starting

Colt starting is offered here at Rose Hill Ranch Paso Finos for your young horses that you want to get off to a good start with our professional horse training methods using natural horsemanship. Let me start your horse off by establishing Leadership, Direction, Discipline, Respect, Trust, and Companionship in the equine to human relationship that will last the rest of his life. Don’t wait until your horse develops bad habits or become fearful of humans and becomes an unsafe horse to handle or be around!

Get started right away with professional horse training, don't wait until your new horse is too much to handle or becomes dangerous for you or your family to be around! Young horses are playful and fun to watch, but what they consider to be harmless horseplay can be very dangerous to you or a small child. Personal story; I had a palomino mare with a beautiful palomino colt that was about a month old and every time I went to feed the mare, the colt thought it was playtime. So, he would stay back while the mare came to eat, and after I moved away from the feed he would jump in the air kicking and bucking and run right at me... and just before he got to me he would jump in the air, spin around and kick out at me! Of course I thought, "this new colt stuff is fun!" and left with smile. This went on like clockwork for the next few days, and I started thinking about him getting bigger and strong enough to do some real damage, and decided to reset the relationship, so the next time he came at me I corrected him. It was funny to see the surprised expression, and he never tried to kick out at me again..the playfulness didn't go away but he respected my space from then on. Groundwork training can be started right away, I start as soon as they are born with imprinting and desensitizing and by the first month they are trained to my basic groundwork methods. This training is available at Rose Hill Ranch Paso Finos, and provided by Keith Andries for ANY BREED of horse. I cannot stress enough the importance of establishing Leadership, Direction, Discipline, so you can experience Respect, Trust, and Companionship with your horse.

My Groundwork training will teach your horse how to be safe to be around, respectful of your space, confident in his movement around you, much easier to handle, and prepare him for advancement in his training. This is an invaluable part of the training process and should not be overlooked or bypassed. Shortcuts just do not work when it comes to training your horse, get the professional horse training you and your horse deserve, either by bringing your horse to me or attending a clinic and doing it yourself.
